Roberts Landing, Michigan - The Canadian Coast Guard icebreaker Samuel Risley (red) and the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Bristol Bay (small vessel in the distance) work together to help the St Marys Challenger, a Great Lakes freighter, navigate the icy St. Clair River. Bitter cold has led to ice jams on the river and flooding in shoreline communities. The St. Clair River is the border between the U.S. and Canada; it drains the upper Great Lakes towards Lake St. Clair and on to Lake Erie.
