Arco, Idaho - The SCRAM or emergency reactor shutdown button in the control room of the Experimental Breeder Reactor No. 1 (EBR-1), the first nuclear reactor to produce usable energy. The reactor operated from 1951 to 1963; it is now a National Historic Landmark and is open to the public.
