Detroit, Michigan - A statue of a black Jesus at Sacred Heart Major Seminary. Made of white stone in 1957, the statue's face, hands, and feet were painted black by unknown persons during Detroit's 1967 uprising. Seminary officials have decided to keep it permanently black.
