Ely, Nevada - Sheep being moved to market on Hank Vogler's Need More Sheep ranch. Vogler raises sheep in north Spring Valley, with permits to graze them on BLM and Forest Service land. Nevada ranchers are opposing the Southern Nevada Water Authority's plan to build a 300-mile pipeline to pump billions of gallons of water annually to Las Vegas. They fear the removal of so much water from their valleys would dry up their springs and make ranching impossible.
